Expertise. Commitment. Transformation.
I grew up in Harlem, New York City where I began thinking about and interrogating issues of power, inequity, and injustice. My educational trajectory took me into spaces where I was typically one of a few others with identities mirroring my own. These experiences birthed a commitment to see communities transformed on small and large scales and to equip them with the dispositions, knowledge, skills, and motivation to do so.
With nearly 30 years of experience in higher education settings, I have seen the multitude of ways that organizations and individuals attempt to address issues of diversity, inclusion, equity, and justice. I am passionate about bringing a radical understanding of equity and justice to bear on how organizations and their leaders engage these concepts and put them to work in their practices, policies, norms, and cultures.
